About Us

The Logan County Library System is composed of the main library and five branch libraries located in DeGraff, Lakeview, Rushsylvania, West Liberty and West Mansfield. Through the Austin E. Knowlton Foundation, contributions were made so the new main library (Knowlton Library) would become a reality for Bellefontaine and Logan County. The Knowlton Library is in honor of Clarence L. Knowlton and Vertura Mae Knowlton.

Mission Statement:
The Logan County Libraries strive to be an access point for information and related materials to support the educational, economical and recreational development of Logan County.

Role Statement:
The Logan County Libraries are a system of five branches and a central main facility. The Libraries' strength in terms of scope and quality of materials and services lies in the Library as a whole and not in any one facility. Each branch library is an integral part of each community or service area.
